The Institute of Manufacturing at Cambridge University is holding a partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Prosperity Initiative; one of the initiatives that unites the world’s leading manufacturers, start-ups, entrepreneurs, governments, UN agencies and philanthropists, academia and researchers, to form a community dedicated to spreading global prosperity through the art of "Making".
The initiative specifically seeks to recognize noble and novel achievements that have positively contributed to the well-being of the world while fostering the values of resilience, community, harmony and dignity. At its first session, the initiative received over 1,100 submissions from 83 countries to solve four global challenges. The winning solutions to these challenges will be chosen and adopted after measuring their social and economic impact, and their contribution to achieving their goals.
The Institute of Manufacturing at Cambridge University will choose the solution that has the greatest social and economic impact for the company that has been awarded to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for global prosperity in recognition of its social responsibility and its interest in solving and overcoming the challenges facing humanity.
